Using Paper or Inks with Background Diecuts

Hi and welcome back. Or should I say I hope you're staying safe, practicing social distancing and washing those hands often.  Until they find a cure for the pandemic that we're all experiencing, I don't think that's a lot to ask especially if it's about saving lives.

Today's cards are made using this diecut that arrrived in the mail mid March. WHO had just declared the pandemic and our postal services was starting to slow because of the statewide lockdown imposed.

I used the combination of Peacock Feathers & Wilted Violet distress oxides to create this background.  This diecut is intricate and it did took me longer to get the small pieces separate.  Use of proper tool is recommended.

And really, purely out from the  frustration of spending too much time separating the negative pieces this second card is made.  I had an altogether different  idea of using pattern paper but I'm glad I stuck to the end for this happy outcome.

Hope you guys enjoyed  the cards for today. I will be back next week for some other handmade cards, till next time, stay safe.
