Fairy on a Starry Nite

Hi there. Today I have a silhouette card to share, using a Rosie's Studio fairy stamp set.

This is my first silhouette card so I am excited to see how I will be using this set in the future.  Here's me using distress oxides to create the nite background. The stars are just dots made using white gel pen to create the thousand stars skyline.

Silhouettes are quite hard to do, in my humble opinion.  I actually tried the idea on a separate paper just to have a feel of how to do it.  I can't seem to get a crisp black silhouette and it didn't help that I am rather low on black inks but I didn't want to abandon ship.   Maybe this is just an excuse to get them expensive MISTI..

I'm pretty happy with my progress in ink blending.  I recently invested in more oxides and I feel like my game is changing for the better.  I love oxides on Daler Rowney paper,  they move oh-so-smooth.
What do you think of the oxides combo? A yes? or better-not-next-time?

Well that's my card for today.  As my mojo is slowly climbing back from a long slumber I hope to be able to joining the many Card Challenges online.  Hopefully I will be able to do some and share it here in my next post.
