The Flower Challenge #13 -Use Your Favourite Flower

Hello friends. I have a card submission for 'Use Your Favourite Flower' challenge that's happening throughout October and it's part of The Flower Challenge 1st birthday celebration so you can expect lots of prizes being offered if you win their challenge.  I'm hoping to win the stamp set from Neat & Tangled but then again all the prizes they're offering are gorgeous and very generous.

Before I found out about The Flower Challenge #13, I made myself a personal challenge- that I must be aware at all times craft supplies are not exactly cheap therefore the temptation to shop must be resisted at all costs, that I was going to use the supplies I already have as much as creatively possible and that I was going to make a short video of my card making process.

This is the result of that *personal challenge*.

For my submission, I knew I was going to be using 2-3 inks for my stamping that didn't require much coloring (limited supplies restrictions) and I ended up with 2- Versafine ink in Vintage Sepia and Versamagic Dewdrop in Pumpkin Spice.  I made a pencil mark outline as a guide for my stamping.  I stamped the big flower and leaves first then added those lighter colored flowers to sort of fill in the gap between the bigflowers.

Have you ever tried this technique? What was your experience in terms of limitations and how did you go around it?  As always, when I'm not doing any cards I will be at my FB page sharing stuff-mine and others of course! I would love to hear your stories.

~A little on the side note..
I had filmed a trial run of making this card on my little point & shoot camera, but on playback it was really blahh..I figured that I'd just use my iphone to get everything filmed and edited but that lasted a few minutes, (storage, storage, sigh!) so yeah..that last part of my personal challenge didn't happen. Oh well, you can't win 'em all.
