Hello friends. October is winding down and before you know it, Christmas will be upon us. I like to think of November as the beginning of the end because that's when everyone seems to be rushing for something. School holidays is about to start in 3 weeks and that definitely requires proper planning for the kids to stay occupied and fingers crossed we get through till new years.
Back to my card, I initially thought of submitting this for a challenge but then decided against it because obviously I was having second thoughts about it. Not for the card itself but the time that's lapse since I did the first submission post. You can read about it here.
I used watercolor pencil to color a few flowers and leaves both from discontinued stamp sets from Lawn Fawn. And of course I fussy cut them then layered them onto a 3 3/4" x 5.5" kraft paper.
I added 2 layers of foam tapes to parts of the leaves and flowers to get a raised effect. Some parts of the flowers and leaves I've adhered to the kraft paper. The kraft paper was actually embossed and had it been a white cardstock, you'd be able to see the gold metallic finish on it.
This card took me a longer time to finish because of the coloring- that I am still learning to improve, and also from fussy cutting the flowers and the intricate leaves. I love this flower and leaves set so much and you'll see me using them on my future cards quite a lot.
And as always thank you so much for stopping by. If you want to share your go-to flower stamp sets do leave a link on the comment below, I would love to hop by and see it. See ya!
