Paper + Watercolor

Hello friends.  We are enjoying a longer weekend this week all through Monday since Malaysia came out 1st in medal standings in the recently concluded SEA Games. It's indeed a welcome break from my 8-5 paying job and a good time to spend even more time on my card ideas.

I've had these stack of paper pads that's been sitting on my table just screaming at me to use them.  They're so dinosaur years and I'm embarrassed to say I've only used 1-2 pieces from each pad.  So I just took 1 paper out, cut it to size 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" , mounted it on a fun foam and this is the result.

This was super easy and didn't took that long to finish.  Often times I amaze myself with how much supplies I hoard- this could've been done aeons ago and if I stick to this kind of 'method' I could do more cards.

This is another such card, only I made some cuts along the coconut trees' leaves to add some dimension using foam tapes at the back of the raised cuts.  No stamped sentiments here- stickers from my hoarding were mounted on foam tape. Easy peasy.

Now this, I had the most fun. There are lots of videos like this and this that I really like and wanted to try.  I didn't want to spend so much on new supplies but this watercolor set from Popular was inexpensive and it had the basic colors and that sold me.  Initially I was worried about how messy the black was at first but then it looked so much better after adding all those white spatters.

That's it from me for this week. I'll be back next week for some cards made using inexpensive stationery bought supplies.  Hope you'll join me then.
