Cards using free (YES! absolutely Free) printable paper.

Hi there.  If you joined in from my FB page link, thank you so much.

I also mentioned in a previous post that I'll be making cards using inexpensive supplies.  This card is just so.  I turn to Pinterest for some card ideas to recreate and I chanced upon some beautiful shapes.  I didn't have hexagon stamps but surely I can make some of my own?  In my first attempt I tried drawing those hexagons on a watercolor paper.  It looked so sad that it made me sad.  I turned to the power of google to look for printable hexagons and found a design that I like and printed it with a laser jet printer.  I found it best to further set the ink using a heat gun just because I keep having ink smear whenever I touch the printed paper.

But the end result was worth the fussy cutting.  Don't you agree? This second card was also using the same fussy cut method.  I made a three window shaker card  that's slightly smaller than a size A2 card that's filled with turquoise, purple and white sequins.  The design of this card came to me wanting to use those color sequins as focal points.

You can do no wrong with colorful sequins. (NTS: browse stores for other colored inexpensive sequins.)

That's my cards for this week. I hope it motivates you to create your own designs using supplies you most probably have own.  I would love to hear your comments just so I can continue to grow as a card maker. See you soonest.
